The University of Sydney’s Faculty of Dentistry laboratories and clinical training facilities at the Westmead Centre for Oral Health allows students to meet patients and come face-to-face with diverse oral health issues. This encourages students to develop an implicit understanding of current issues in healthcare, and the setting in which they will later work.

This project involved the refurbishment and reconfiguration of existing lab areas to accommodate the Biomaterials Research group from the Sydney Dental Hospital. Delivered over two stages, the project delivered a new specialist dental biomaterials laboratory, microscopy room, polishing rooms, research office spaces for staff and post-graduate students, a dispensary, surgical skills lab, an X-ray room and several dental suites.
