Premium office building Casselden has undergone an extensive refurbishment designed by Gray Puksand. Attached to the Cassendon foyer, Mr Speaker incorporates eclectic references to the nearby Victorian Parliamentary precinct. The cafe features green winged chairs, patterned wallpaper, dark timber lining and Daryl Fitzgerald’s books crafted from reposed bricks.  

This modern take on the Legislative Assembly is dominated by an expansive vertical garden and emerald coloured walls as a striking backdrop to the cafe. 

The cafe is divided into two distinct zones to provide additional amenity for the building. Alongside the busy and bustling cafe with a variety of seating options, the ‘out-of-office’ private spaces are regularly utilised by the building tenants. 

Ancillary elements such as the Mr Speaker brand, collateral design, interior wall treatments and signage were also developed by Gray Puksand. Typically these components are inset into the architectural elements to reinforce that this new space has been brought together by considered design and craftsmanship.
